Proces zrovnoprávňování neheterosexuálních osob v České republice

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to map the ongoing process of obtaining equal rights for non-heterosexual individuals in Czechia. Most of the text is devoted to three main periods of time - the First Czechoslovak Republic, period of the nineties in twentieth century and the last five years as milestones of the researched topic. The main contribution of this writing is a summarizing description of key actors, organizational structures, government interventions and social phenomena that played an important role in the legislative changes in human right settlement of these minorities to the heteronormative majority. The Thesis offers a chronological analysis of changes in the perception of non-heterosexual individuals in this territory from 1918 to the present days with the historical context preceding it. To demonstrate the standpoints of the society the writing also presents sociological surveys related to the topic.

Same-sex marriages as a political topic in the Czech public space

Bakalářská práce s názvem "Stejnopohlavní sňatky jako politické téma v českém veřejném prostoru" se věnuje mediálnímu obrazu institutu stejnopohlavního manželství z politického hlediska. V kontextuální části je přiblížena definice manželství pro stejnopohlavní páry, současná situace v Evropě a v České republice. Dále práce popisuje kontrast mezi manželstvím a registrovaným partnerstvím. V teoretické části se práce zabývá teoretickými koncepty agenda settingu, za pomoci kterých je ilustrována medializace tématu. V analytické části je provedena metoda obsahové a mediální analýzy prostoru, který je definován v metodologii. Časově je práce ohraničena od vzniku inciativy Jsme fér, která podporuje redefinici manželství, tedy 17. dubna 2017, do konce roku 2021. Dataset, ze kterého vychází analytická část, obsahuje finálních 294 výroků a 5 konkrétních proměnných. Cílem této práce je analýza výroků veřejně činných osobností v mediálním prostoru, v práci jsou také zodpovězeny výzkumné podotázky, které se ptaly kdo se vyjadřoval ke stejnopohlavním manželstvím, jak se o nich vyjadřoval a kdy se o nich vyjadřoval. Práce také detailně popisuje dva návrhy sněmovních tisků, Zákon o ústavní definici manželství jako svazku muže a ženy a Zákon o stejnopohlavním manželství. Possibilities to Reframe the Debate about the Status of Homosexual Unions: LGBT Examined

This paper looks into why those actively opposing same-sex marriage are failing and emphasises the necessity to reshape the discussion going forward. Apart from pointing to underlying causes leading to the social changes epitomised in the redefinition of marriage, it will take a step back and assess the effectiveness of the classical argumentation in support of marriage. It is argued that those standing up against the LGBT offensive must be able to develop a much more informed and comprehensive strategy in that they improve their style and communicative effectiveness, broaden the context of the discourse, and shift its focal point. Chapter 1 reflects on the emergence of same-sex marriage and offers a brief analysis of week points of the counter-campaign. Chapter 2 reflects on the three dimensions in more detail: it outlines a more effective communication strategy; presents some consequences and of same-sex marriage and parallel development and finally establishes the concept of homosexuality as the foundational prerequisite for gay marriage. Chapter 3 examines the current normalisation paradigm of homosexuality from various perspectives. Registered partnership - actual situation in Europe

Registered partnership - actual situation in Europe Abstract This thesis deals with the registered partnership and cohabitation of two persons of the same sex in the same-sex marriage. The thesis deals not only with the Czech legal system, but also with other european countries. The aim of the thesis is to compare the individual legal regulations and to review the actual tendencies of the european states in this respect. The text focuses mainly on the current situation in individual countries, the facts as concerning the establishment and termination of registered partnerships and partners' property relations are described. The subject of homoparentality and the possibility of adopting homosexual children is also discussed. The thesis is divided into 6 chapters, which gradually describe sub-areas related to this civil law institut. The first chapter defines the basic concepts and briefly describes the historical development of homosexual perceptions and the view of homosexuality. The next chapter describes the gradual legalization of a registered partnership in Europe, focusing on legislative processes in the Czech Republic. Campaign for the same-sex marriage in the Czech Republic and its presentation in Czech online media

This thesis defines the basic terms concerning not only the homosexual minority but also other sexual minorities, and maps the historical and social development of primarily Czech gays and lesbians from the late 19th century to the present. Based on the study of selected Czech literature dealing with the history of homosexuality, the author presents the first preserved mention of people with minority sexual orientation in the territory of the Czech lands, describing their situation during the First Republic, World War II and Totalitarianism. The author devotes substantial part to the associations and movements that could be legally founded after 1989 and also presents a list of various radio and television programs and printed periodicals. At the same time, the thesis illustrates the efforts of this sexual minority to improve its social acceptance and its rights. It also describes specific milestones that led to the removal of homosexuality from the list of diseases in Czechoslovakia and subsequently the Czech Republic, through the adoption of the registered partnership act to the same-sex marriage campaign. Legislation registered partnership and its social aspect

This Bachelor thesis on the topic of "registered partnership legislation and its social aspect" describes how the society looked at homosexuality throughout history, and how it is perceived nowadays. The opinion of the society in this matter has developed gradually and is continuously evolving. I see the meaning of this work in extending informations for persons who preffers persons of the same sex. Additional value is that the general public awareness of the issue would be wider. Addaptation of registered partnership or same sex marriages may not be in certain countries enacted, no one can give this country order to do so. Therefore, there are still countries where registred partnership is not allowed in the legal order of the country. Bachelor's thesis concentrates on two aspects. The main aspect is to summarize the law of registered partnerships and its social aspect in selected countries of the European Union, when was the legislation of registered partnership described in the Czech Republic and, eventually, in selected countries of the European Union. Through the additional aspect was compared the adjustments of registered partnership between selected States. Due to the fact, that the thesis is only theoretical and research was not carried out, I used analytical-descriptive method.
